Typhoon Frank hit the Western Visayas Region on June 21, 2008. Most provinces were in the state of calamity after the typhoon. The province of Iloilo was mostly affected with flood that reached the roofs of some houses. Many lives, houses, belongings, and source of incomes were taken. "Confessional," a Filipino indie film, bagged the Best Film award in the First Features section of the 10th Osian's Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema in New Delhi, India last July 19, 2008. The film was directed by Jerrold Tarog and Ruel Antipuesto. The 4th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival was held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines last Sunday, July 20, 2008. Baron Geisler won the Best Actor Award while Mylene Dizon won the Best Actress Award. Baron played the role of a gay TV producer in "Jay" and Mylene Dizon played as a cancer patient in "100." Anyone, especially pinoys, would find their creations really funny.
