Posted by keSSen On 10:36 PM No comments

Our country's young superstar, Charice Pempengco, seems to have really captured the world's attention in awe. She just did a duet with her idol, Celine Dion, on September 15, Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Celine Dion invited Charice Pempengco in a live video conference in Oprah a week before to join her on stage in her "Taking Chances World Tour." Pempengco also joined Andrea Bocelli at Teatro del Silenzio in Tuscany, Italy last July 20 for the tenor's birthday concert, "The Cinema Tribute."

It seems that our young diva is on her rise to stardom. She's joined some famous international artists that not even our top singers has done before. Good luck to her, she's a true pride of the Philippines.

This year's RAN Online Global Tournament will be hosted in the Philippines for the first time, on October 04, 2008 at the SMX Convention Center. The local game publisher IP e-games will be organizing the event. Last year's event was held in Thailand.

This global competition will be participated by RAN players from the Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand playing in a local area network-based competition. The Philippine team is composed of Vincent Van Amado, Carlo Angelo Magcalas, Martin Joseph Buday and Kevin Medina.

There will also be other online games for the said global event like guild competitions, sponsored competitions by Japanese fast food company, Yoshinoya, item search contests, beauty and brains contest, dance competition, etc.

This MMORPG was once my addiction, too. I just reached level 60-something and stopped. lol what a shame. I then played Cabal and discontinued because I'm too busy with work. The latest hype now is Rohan. I am yet finding my time to play it.

Eraserheads Reunion Concert Was Stopped

Posted by keSSen On 8:00 AM No comments

As I was watching the late night news on tv on August 30, 2008, the news flash about the Eraserheads concert caught my attention. It was stopped because thei vocalist, Ely Buendia, was rushed to the hospital. It was during their 20-min break after performing a total of 15 songs that Buendia felt a chest pain. Buendia has already suffered a heart attack on January 7, 2007 and had undergone surgery.

How I wished I could watch the Eraserhead's Reunion Concert. Who wouldn't want to? Dubbed as the country's The Beatles, Eraserhead's reunion concert was highly anticipated by many people. An estimated 40,000 people went to their concert at The Fort Bonifacio open field in Taguig City. Eraserheads was disbanded in 2002. Since then, each has formed their own bands. People have been hoping for the band to reform but it seemed impossible. But the news about the band's reunion concert has somehow liven up most of the Filipinos. They were the epitome of Pinoy Rock n' Roll. Their style is just so distinct that no one can duplicate.

Here are some words from The Eraserheads drummer/Sandwich Vocalist, Raimund Marasigan, posted from Subsandwich mailing list:

Before anything. I just spoke to Day Cabuhat and she informed me that Ely’s condition is now stable and they’re very thankful for all your concern.

Thank you very much for coming t the show. We really felt the cheering and the singing and the love you all gave.

Thank you for understanding that the show had to be cut short.

Ely was in no condition (emotionally, physically) to play but he did. And he gave it his all which is more than we could ask from him. Given the circumstances he was in.

We all wish him well. We are all confident that he will recover soon.

I promise to give you another Eraserheads show as soon as possible.

Again thank you very much

Does that mean a repeat concert?Whew! How I wish to come. But can we still risk Ely's health? The fans who attended their concert could have felt disappointed but surely they understand the incident and are more concerned of Ely Buendia's health. As of now, it has been reported that Buendia's condition is now stable.

Let's keep praying guys.
